Speeches will be given on Jan. 7 and 8 concerning the State of Cobb County and the State of Kennesaw.

Cobb County Commission Chairman Mike Boyce will deliver the State of the County Address at 7:30-9 a.m. Jan. 7 at the Cobb Galleria Centre, 2 Galleria Parkway.

“Chairman Boyce will discuss Cobb’s biggest successes from the past year and share his goals for 2019 and beyond to continue moving our county and its businesses forward,” according to a Cobb Chamber of Commerce statement.

Presented by Georgia Power, the event will begin with coffee and networking at 7 a.m. followed by breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and Boyce’s speech until 9 a.m.

Cobb Chamber admission is $30/member and $60/general admission.

Then Kennesaw Mayor Derek Easterling will present his State of the City Address during the Kennesaw Business Association (KBA) luncheon on Jan. 8 at the Kennesaw State University Continuing Education Center, 3333 Busbee Drive, Room 400, Kennesaw.

Networking will begin at 11 a.m. followed by the lunch buffet at 11:30 a.m. and Easterling’s speech until 1 p.m.

Sponsored by Loud Security, the luncheon will be catered by Carrabba’s Italian Grill.
