A community of 19 single-family houses will be built in Smyrna.

The Smyrna City Council recently voted to rezone 7.68 acres at 10 Rebel Trail for the development by O’Dwyer Homes.

However, Councilman Ron Fennel recused himself and left the room during the vote since he said he is a property owner.

Fennel also recused himself on the vote to annex two of those acres into the city from Cobb County.

The development will have a density of 2.47 units per acre.

Based in Alpharetta, O’Dwyer Properties/Homes will set a minimum square footage of 2,200 and establish a mandatory homeowner’s association.
