The Smyrna City Council agreed Nov. 20 to the development of 59 townhomes. They will replace 10 single-family residential properties on the west side of Bell Drive on 4.71 acres at 12.5 units per acre.

Attorney Garvis Sams, speaking for applicant David Woodberry of The Woodberry Group, said the price points would range from $300,000 to $400,000 and square footage from 1,800 to 3,000. The 59 units will be split among 11 buildings, ranging between five to six units per building. The townhomes will consist of a mixture of front- and rear-loaded two-car garages. The 22- and 26-foot-wide townhomes will front on Bell Drive and have rear-entry garages. On a private street, the 25-foot-wide townhomes will have front-entry garages.
