Six vehicles purchased for McDonough police

The McDonough City Council approved at its Sept. 6 workshop meeting the purchase of six police vehicles and assorted equipment for the McDonough Police Department at a cost of just under $200,000.

That includes $135,510 for the cars from Don Jackson Chrysler Dodge Jeep and $44,610.14 for emergency equipment from West Chatham Warning Devices. Digital Alley is providing cameras for the four of the vehicles for $16,180 and another $1,925 is for decals from Firehouse Graphics for five vehicles. Window tint for all six vehicles will be purchased from The Bass Station for $1,170.

Two purchases for the city’s Wastewater Department, a truck and a tractor, were also approved at a total cost of about $77,000.
