City Schools Decatur is posting a survey on the General Obligation Bond its hopes will finance school construction projects, including significant additions to Decatur High and Renfroe Middle Schools. The five-question inquiry will be on Facebook and the CSD website at www.csdecatur.net later this week.

In May CSD will ask Decatur commissioners to approve a bond referendum for the November ballot for $60 million, or $75 million or $82 million.

“We need a consensus,” Superintendent Phyllis Edwards said. “We need to hear back from the community before [settling on] the final bond amount.” Edwards, however, added CSD may also commission a professional, “more statistically-significant survey,” before the commission vote in May.
