As the City Springs redevelopment approaches a spring opening in downtown Sandy Springs, the City Council has approved fees for the 713-space underground parking garage and for on-street parking at the 14-acre facility. Details: https://bit.ly/2utd21D

The first two hours of garage parking will be free; those attending public meetings or meetings at City Hall that last beyond two hours will receive a validation for complimentary parking.

For parking above two hours in the garage, fees will start at $4 for two to three hours and increase in $2 increments to $10 for five to eight hours, then jump to $18 for eight to 24 hours. Event parking will be $10 for up to 24 hours. Lost ticket charge will be $24.

For on-street parking, the fee will be $1 for the first 30 minutes, $2 for 31 to 60 minutes, and $4 for 61 minutes to the maximum 90 minutes.

Lanier Parking, the city’s parking vendor, will provide on-site valet parking at $7 for the first four hours; $14 for four to six hours; $28 for six to 24 hours; and $20 for event parking up to eight hours.

The 37 on-street parking spaces along Mount Vernon Highway will be complimentary from 2 to 5 p.m. weekdays and until 12:30 p.m. Saturdays.
