Quality of Life: Natural Resource Protection is the theme of the March 13 annual meeting of the Sandy Springs Council of Neighborhoods. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Cottage at Lost Corner Preserve Park, 7300 Brandon Mill Road (at Riverside Drive/Dalrymple Road).

The event will feature a panel discussion led by experts in the areas of watershed management and protection, tree conservation, stream buffer protection and best practices for responsible development, according to a meeting announcement.

Panelists will include Jason Ulseth of the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, and Alan Toney, chairman of the Fulton County Soil & Water Conservation District.

“Natural resource protection is a 2018 City Council priority,” the announcement says. “Council of Neighborhoods, its member (homeowners associations), their residents and all citizens … bear a responsibility to help protect and preserve the city’s resources.”

A short business meeting and election of directors also will take place, and light refreshments will be served. Information: http://conta.cc/2FvCXdm
