The Roswell City Council has approved hearings for April 8 on whether to revoke or suspend two restaurants’ alcoholic beverage licenses after they allegedly sold alcohol to an underage, undercover officer.

The council also voted to extend the emergency suspension of sales under city ordinances for Cancun Bar & Grill LLC, 10479 Alpharetta St., and Evolution Restaurant LLC, 100 Norcross St.

Cancun is accused of selling an alcoholic beverage to an underage person on or about March 15, according to a resolution approved by the council.

The resolution states Cancun had just had its alcohol license reinstated March 7 after serving a 60-day suspension for alcohol sales beyond permitted hours; and its hearing to be reinstated was delayed a month because Cancun had advertised sales in violation of the city alcohol ordinance

Evolution is accused of selling alcohol to an underage person on or about March 16, according to a second resolution passed by the council.
