The city of Roswell is looking for public comment on its 2016 Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant program.

The CDBG program aims to benefit low and moderate-income residents by providing economic opportunities and housing. The city completed the application process for the federally funded program in July after accepting a number of proposals for housing rehabilitation, public services, economic development and infrastructure projects. It’s required to submit the plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development every year to get federal money.

A public hearing on the application’s set for 6 p.m. Nov. 9 in room 200B at Roswell City Hall, 38 Hill St. In the meantime, drafts of the plan will be on the city’s website at roswellgov.com or can be picked up at Roswell City Hall, the Roswell Public Library or at the city’s housing authority.
