Rev. Charles Stanley promotes book "Surviving in an Angry World"

The Rev. Charles F. Stanley kicks off  a national tour to promote his latest book, "Surviving in an Angry World: Finding Your Way to Personal Peace."

His first appearance will be from 8 a.m. until noon Sunday at the First Baptist Church bookstore, 4400 North Peachtree Rd.

Other stops include Toronto, Baltimore, Phoenix and Tulsa.

Stanley, senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Atlanta, is the author of 35 books and also host of  "In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley" radio and television programs.

He says "anger doesn't die out. It must be rooted out." The key, he said, is understanding the origins of that anger and responding appropriately. He offers scripture, practical advice and exercises to help readers stop feeding anger.
