Reps Miller Road in Norcross will be closed to through traffic starting June 25 through the beginning of August. Using a process called Full Depth Reclamation contractors will be working to rebuild the road foundation to support the current vehicle loads for long-term sustainability. Work will be done one lane at a time, with the other lane closed. Only local residents and businesses will be able to use the roadway.

The FDR process takes existing flexible pavement and a predetermined portion of the underlying materials and uniformly pulverizes and blends together the material to produce a new pavement base. FDR is considered a more permanent solution for pavement repair, the “greenest” option, and very cost effective.

Every effort will be made to complete the work before school begins on August 6.
