The Marietta City Council on Wednesday approved a plan to redevelop a former public housing site on 17 acres in Marietta for a residential development with 75 single family homes and 24 town homes. Brock Built Homes will develop the Boston Homes property off Howard Street and Washington Avenue near Cobb Parkway.

The council delayed a vote on the project three times to iron out issues that included the developer providing streets wide enough for fire trucks to turn during an emergency.
