Notices of value for 2015 are being mailed to Henry County property owners Friday, according to the county’s chief appraiser, Charles Reddoch. According to a county spokesperson, assessors are required by Georgia law to respond to the real estate market when it goes up or down, and many appraised values are likely going up because of an increase in the real estate market in 2014. The assessment notice reflects an estimated tax bill based on current values and last year’s millage. Notices will also be available online beginning April 20 at www.qpublic.net/ga/henry or www.henrycounty-ga.org.
