The new executive assistant for Powder Springs is Nikki Proctor, Interim City Manager Pam Conner announced Monday night during the city council meeting.

Conner said Proctor was the only city employee who applied for this post.

Proctor has been the administrative assistant and receptionist for the city and previously the receptionist for Paulding County.

The city is advertising for a new administrative assistant/receptionist, with a Jan. 30 closing date, at cityofpowdersprings.org/index.aspx?NID=119.

Proctor replaces Kelly Axt who now is the city clerk and Axt replaced Dawn Davis who retired in December.
