A man who was hit Saturday by a commercial train on tracks west of downtown Atlanta will be charged with criminal trespass, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

A police spokesman said the man sustained non-life threatening injuries. The incident occurred just before 11 a.m. in the 2900 block of Delmar Lane NW. The train track is a short distance from MLK Drive.

Police did not say what the man, who was not identified, was doing near the train when he was struck, nor were his injuries described.
