The Stockbridge City Council voted at its June 10 regular meeting to approve a business permit request that was previously denied due to a moratorium.

Jacqueline Kennedy of Kennedy Events LLC had requested the permit but was turned down at the administrative level because of a moratorium in place for assembly uses. However, her exemption request was approved unanimously and her license is pending. A separate motion to remove appeals from the moratorium also passed unanimously. In other business, the council voted unanimously to amend an ordinance and allow up to 12 members on the Youth Council Advisory Committee.

Four new members were appointed to that body at the meeting.
