The northbound and southbound lanes of Peachtree Dunwoody Road at I-285 at the DeKalb County/Fulton County border will be closed nightly for bridge construction the rest of the week, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced.
Peachtree Dunwoody will be closed from Lake Hearn Drive to Concourse Parkway, GDOT said. The closure is “weather permitting” and scheduled for 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesday-Wednesday, and 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Wednesday-Sunday. The work is part of the ongoing reconstruction of the I-285/Ga. 400 interchange.
The recommended detour for northbound motorists is to turn right on Lake Hearn, left on Perimeter Center Parkway, and left on Hammond Drive back to Peachtree Dunwoody. Southbound drivers should follow the same route in reverse. Those seeking to enter I-285 should use the ramps from Ashford Dunwoody Road.
"Emergency vehicles will have access to the closed lanes; however, motorists must follow the detour," GDOT said. Information: https://bit.ly/2jfU8S7
