Colorfully clad cyclists watched on Nov. 20 as Peachtree City Mayor Vanessa Fleisch announced that the city has been designated a bronze-level Bike-Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists.

Georgia has only seven other BFCs, a program that recognizes a community’s commitment to improving conditions and providing infrastructure and education for pro-cycling policies.

Fleisch thanked Keith Larson of the SouthSide Cycling Club for helping to put forward the city’s application.
