Peachtree City is updating its list of projects that would be funded if a special purpose local option sales tax is approved in March. The City Council approved finalizing a plan outlined last week by City Manager Jon Rorie.

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners expanded the proposed SPLOST term from five years to six, which would bring Peachtree City an estimated $7.5 million. The county has also suspended plans to build a new performing arts center, which gives the city $2.5 million to reallocate.

The new list of city projects expands road and cart path projects, including widening the golf cart bridge across Lake Peachtree and studying an additional golf cart bridge over Ga. Hwy. 74 at Crosstown Road.
