The City Council of Peachtree City has canceled its regular July 2 meeting because of the weekend holiday, but will hold one more budget workshop at 6:30 p.m. on July 7 at City Hall.

The council’s $34 million budget discussion on June 22 focused on the millage rate, employee cost-of-living raises, street and path paving, and other infrastructure costs. Provisions for millage increases and raises were dropped, but other items are still being ironed out.

The budget outline is at www.peachtree-city.org. The council will vote on the final draft on July 16.
