Peachtree City is considering repairs and upgrades to the Glenloch Recreation Center pool that would include a new spray park. The city authorized an exploratory committee in August to study the prospect, and results were presented at Thursday’s City Council meeting.

Based on a survey of similar parks around the country, the committee recommended that the city invest $288,340 to make urgent repairs to the main pool but to also add a splash pad, as well as tables with shade, to attract more users. Operating costs would be about $21,756 a year.

If built, it would be Fayette County’s first spray park.
