The Snellville City Council unanimously awarded $621,579 Monday for street improvements to local supplier E.R. Snell Contractor Inc. Patching, resurfacing and milling on 13 streets in the Nob Hill area should be complete by the end of May 2015, according to Public Works Director Gaye Johnson.

Funds totaling $136,546 will come from the Public Works Department’s Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant fund, which is allocated by the state, and another $200,000 from the city’s Capital Paving Expense budget. Remaining funds will come from taxpayer-funded SPLOST dollars.
