North Fulton cities announced the closure of park facilities this week to ensure social distancing recommendations are being followed during the pandemic. But parks are open for walking, biking, hiking and running.

With the sunny weekend ahead, below are some parks spaces to enjoy, even if their buildings and facilities are closed.

Sandy Springs, Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton and Johns Creek have closed park buildings, pavilions and all other facilities. In addition, outdoor playgrounds and athletic fields, and basketball and tennis courts are closed. Use of outdoor gym equipment is not allowed. Parking lots at several parks are blocked off.

Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area buildings and parking lots are closed. City officials and the National Park Service, which manages the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, have said people can go inside parks and use trails and paths as long as they maintain a six-foot distance from others and don't gather in groups of 10 or more.
