The electronic sign overhead I-85 located 19 miles south of McGinnis Ferry Road in Suwanee will be turned off Sept. 15 in preparation to be taken down that night. Lane closures will occur overnight to accommodate sign removal.

I-85 southbound from Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road to Old Peachtree Road will have one right lane closed 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., shifting to a double lane closure at 11 p.m.

I-85 northbound from Old Peachtree Road to McGinnis Ferry Road will have one right lane closed 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., shifting to a double lane closure at 11 p.m.

Drivers are asked to plan ahead and drive alert while traveling through work zones.
