The Norcross City Council reviewed concept plans for a new library and parking deck earlier this month. The Gwinnett County library will be relocated and expanded from the existing branch at 6025 Buford Highway.

The new location is part of the city’s efforts to expand their presence along Buford Highway in the hopes of drawing more people to downtown shops, restaurants and events. The city now owns about 1,400 feet of frontage along Buford Highway directly next door to Lillian Webb Park and within easy walking distance to downtown Norcross.

According to Councilman Josh Bare, “We appreciate the county keeping this library branch inside the City of Norcross and being flexible with us as we coordinate with additional development going on around Lillian Webb Park. This new building will be a cornerstone for inspiring a renewal and refreshing of Buford Highway in Norcross.”
