A permanent bathroom facility will soon be open at The Ridge Nature Area off Burch Road in Fayetteville.
Hundreds of yards of sewer and water lines have recently been being installed to connect the new building, which was donated to the facility by MEJA Construction last year, to city utilities. The project also included adding electrical hook-ups and a fire hydrant to the 308-acre site, which has several miles of nature trails.
The same infrastructure will be used to service a picnic pavilion and a nature center that will be added in the future by the Southern Conservation Trust, which manages the area on behalf of the city.
