DeKalb County’s Department of Watershed Management hosted a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on July 2 for two large sewer upgrades completed with the county’s $1.35 billion Capital Improvement Projects Program. The Mountain Industrial Lift Station project is one of several lift station projects DeKalb is upgrading and the first to be completed ahead of schedule. The $960,000 sewer upgrade project is complete. Interim CEO Lee May, Commissioner Nancy Jester and DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce Katerina Taylor were on hand for the ribbon-cutting, marking progress that puts the improvement plan ahead of schedule.
