The average price for a gallon of gas is down 7 cents from last Monday and about a quarter from a month ago, according to a website that tracks gas prices in metro Atlanta and elsewhere.

While metro Atlanta’s average price for regular unleaded on Monday was $3.50 a gallon, according to atlantagasprices.com, it wasn’t hard to find gas selling for under $3.40 in many parts of town.

The lowest price reported by the website Monday morning was $3.33 a gallon at Costco in Kennesaw. Multiple stations were selling gas for $3.35 and $3.36 in Duluth, Canton, Acworth and Marietta, while on the southside, a couple of stations in Henry County were selling gas for $3.37.

The highest price reported was $3.99 at two stations in downtown Atlanta.

Statewide, the average price was $3.47 a gallon, with a station in Ringgold in the northwest corner of the state selling a gallon of regular unleaded for $3.23.

The national average reported Monday by the website was $3.58.
