The Marietta Police Department is involved in protecting children, ages 5 to 12, through a program called Radkids, a 10-hour curriculum with two courses this month.

The first one will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through April 10.

The second course will be 10 a.m. to noon on five consecutive Saturdays from April 18 to May 16.

Topics will include bully prevention; Internet, home, school, vehicle and outdoor safety; predator tricks and physical resistance strategies against child abduction.
