Marietta city officials are seeking the community’s input for its Envision Marietta, Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) Study during Community Meeting 3.

City staff will review the draft Master Plan and answer questions from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 26 at the entrance to Glover Park at North Park and East Park Square opposite the Strand Theatre at the Marietta tent.

Since the original Envision LCI was completed in 2001, the purpose of this study is to create an updated plan that will address current conditions within the downtown and in town areas and build on the successes of the Central Business District and surrounding neighborhoods.

Goals are to provide improved connectivity and identify redevelopment opportunities, including affordable housing and neighborhood services along key corridors.

The Livable Centers Initiative is a program of the Atlanta Regional Commission that awards planning grants on a competitive basis to local governments and nonprofit organizations to enhance existing centers and corridors consistent with regional development policies.
