It's back.

Folks will soon be able to go ice skating in downtown Marietta.

"(We) are checking the weather now and trying to determine the best course of action," said Lindsey Wiles, city spokeswoman.

Skating in Glover Park kicks off its Winter Wonderland and planned to run from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. The price is a flat $12.

An estimated 15,000 people came to the inaugural ice skating rink last year. The total sales neared $180,000.

The city announced the specifics of the skating rink this year in late October.

Here are the hours of operation when school is in session:

If you want a picture with Santa, you can reserve a time with the jolly man online.
