Public hearings will be held in April on two rezoning requests in Marietta.
Black Builders is requesting the rezoning of 5.2 acres at 1214, 1244 and 1250 Allgood Road from single-family residential of two units per acre to eight attached units per acre.
Century Communities is seeking the rezoning of .09 acre as a portion of 392, 404, 408, 412, 422, 430 and 436 Powder Springs St. from community retail commercial to mixed-use development.
The first public hearings will be held by the Planning Commission at 6 p.m. April 5 in Council Chambers, City Hall, 205 Lawrence St., Marietta.
Recommendations from the planning commission on these matters will be considered during the second public hearings at 7 p.m. April 13 by City Council when final decisions are expected.
Descriptions and plats of these properties may be viewed 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays in the Planning and Zoning Office, also in City Hall.
