Gwinnett has requested permission to include upgrades to its Sanitary Sewer System on Sims and Phillips Streets west of Grayson Highway. At a recent city council meeting, Lawrenceville approved an agreement between Gwinnett and the city for the project.

Gwinnett Water Resources Division is proposing to reroute portions of the system and to upgrade any existing 6-inch pipe to 8-inch. As part of the agreement, Gwinnett will bear all costs associated with the design, easement acquisition and construction of the sanitary sewer improvements.

Gwinnett will issue advance payments to the city for the design fee and for the construction cost related to the requested upgrades.
