Following a public hearing, the Lawrenceville City Council voted unanimously to allow a free standing Bank of America ATM at 134 S. Clayton St. in the Lawrenceville Square Shopping Center. The request falls within the Downtown Master Plan Character Area of the 2030 Master Plan.
While the requested use is not specifically listed in the plan, the Planning Department recommended approval since the proposal does not seem to contradict the goals of the Character Area and could be seen as an upgrade to the existing structure/facility.
A list of about 16 conditions come with the approval including the structure be built architecturally compatible with the primary structure and incorporate similar construction materials, a permanent trash receptacle must be located within five feet of the ATM, and landscaping near the structure will include the addition of two trees.
