Overnight lane closures are planned on Interstate 285 for transformation of the 285/400 Improvement Project. Georgia Department of Transportation contractors will close lanes on I-285 for drainage video inspection and geotechnical investigations 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday and Monday.
One right lane will close on I-285 westbound between Glenridge Road and Roswell Road 8 p.m. Monday through 6 a.m. Tuesday. And one right lane will close on the I-285 eastbound exit ramp to Roswell Road
8 p.m. Monday through 6 a.m. Tuesday.
In addition, one right lane will close on I-285 eastbound from Long Island Drive to east of Ashford Dunwoody Road 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday. And one right lane will close on I-285 westbound between Chamblee Dunwoody Road and Ashford Dunwoody Road during the same period.
GDOT officials warn that exact dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers. Motorist are also urged to get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions before heading out.
