Those interested in serving on the Johns Creek Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee have until Monday, June 17, to turn in their applications to fill a Post 1 unexpired term that runs through February 2020.

The committee advises the City Council on park and recreation policy and administration, according to a city announcement. Members must live in the city and regularly attend monthly meetings; the parks advisory board meets at 6:30 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month. Applications are available at: https://bit.ly/2wL2etQ

After a 30-day self-nomination period ends June 17, names will go to council members for review and then to the mayor, who will go over the recommendations and provide nominees’ names to the council for its consideration. The seat is scheduled to be filled at the Aug. 19 council meeting.
