Johns Creek residents will have an opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescription medicines as the police department participates in a National Drug Take-Back Day later this month.

The event, a Drug Enforcement Administration initiative, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Target store at 5950 State Bridge Road, Johns Creek.

“The Drug Take-Back Day event aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications,” according to a city announcement.

Participants are asked not to bring needles or liquids. Information: 678-474-1607.
