This new iteration is notable not only for being animated and featuring a Spanish-speaking Spider-Man with a black father and Puerto Rican mother — but the film is unique because, finally, it is a really good Spider-Man movie.
It won the 2019 Oscar for best animated feature film and a Golden Globe also for best animated picture.
