The Henry County Police Department has been awarded a $64,200 grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and a $24,662 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant. The GOHS funds are for the support of the department’s HEAT unit, which enforces DUI laws, traffic laws and occupant safety laws. The other grant is for police training and continuing education.
