The Henry County Board of Education approved breakfast and lunch prices for the 2017-2018 school year at its April 10 meeting.

Breakfast prices will remain the same as the past two years: $1.15 for students, $1.75 for staff and adult visitors. Lunch prices for students will increase 10 cents to $2.40 for grades K-5 and $2.50 for grades 6-12, after both groups saw a 10-cent hike the previous year. Lunch prices for staff ($3) and adult visitors ($3.25) are unchanged for the second straight year.

Officials said the prices are increased to meet the same rate that the district is reimbursed for free/reduced meals, based on a federal formula.
