Josh Hinton was named chair of the Henry County Board of Education for 2018 and Holly Cobb was named vice-chair. The action took place at board’s Jan 8 meeting.
The board votes on these two roles every January. Pam Nutt served as chair the past five years. Annette Edwards was last year’s vice-chair. Cobb nominated Hinton for chair and Donna McBride nominated Edwards. The vote for Hinton was 3-2 with Edwards and McBride voting against. Nutt nominated Cobb for vice-chair and Edwards nominated McBride. The vote for Cobb was 3-2 along the same lines.
