The Henry County Board of Commissioners received an update at its regular August meeting on the progress of numerous projects under its current special-purpose local option sales tax program.

Out of 28 capital projects, 13 have been completed, including a new senior/recreation center in Hampton, two new fire stations and a new 911 radio system replacement as well as several new public safety and emergency vehicles. The remaining projects are all underway.

Thirty-eight out of 82 transportation projects on the SPLOST list have been finished, including several road repavings, intersection improvements, bridge repairs and road widenings.
