The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted Dec. 1 to approve the rescinding and awarding of a single sealed bid for youth basketball referee services for the Henry County Parks and Recreation Department.
The new bid, awarded to South Atlanta Basketball Officials, includes referees as independent contractors that do require the benefit of workers’ compensation. The original bid awarded Oct. 6 to LJU did not make those specifications.
The board approved a blanket purchase order in the amount of $15,000 for an annual contract for the fiscal year 2015-2016.
