The Hapeville Clean and Beautiful Commission will look at starting an “Adopt a Street” anti-litter campaign in the city of Hapeville next year.

The commission is currently involved in maintaining nine flower beds in the city of Hapeville, work that includes mulching, planting and cleaning. Several commission members are among those certified to monitor water quality at the Cofield Park stream in Hapeville, headwaters of the South River. The group has also done two stream remediation and cleanup projects at the stream, assisted by community volunteers from Porsche.

The Hapeville Clean and Beautiful Commission’s first meeting of 2017 will be at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 9 in the Hapeville City Hall conference room, 3468 N Fulton Ave.
