The Hampton City Council voted at its Sept. 10 regular meeting to postpone action regarding the potential annexation and rezoning of roughly 43 acres on South Hampton Road.

Four separate ordinances were considered for two adjoining pieces of property, with second readings on the annexation requests and first readings on the rezoning requests. The sites were listed as 2.22 acres located at 540 South Hampton Road and 41.01 acres located at 0 South Hampton Road.

The items will be considered again by the council after a scheduled community meeting on the issue.
