The Hampton City Council voted at its Nov. 12 regular meeting to approve a resolution procuring professional services with ClearWater Solutions to have the city’s water system monitored and tested, and also swore in seven members of the city’s youth council.

First readings were approved on an ordinance regarding a speed detection list of roadways and two ordinances which would amend the city’s codes regarding how business is conducted at council meetings. Second readings are required to finalize passage of each of these ordinances and will likely be considered next month.

All of the above votes at the November meeting were unanimous.
