Instead of eating buckets of candy, toilet-papering a house or carving a pumpkin, there’s a free, legal and non-messy way to get into the Halloween spirit in Sandy Springs.

A screening of the classic “Hocus Pocus” should do the trick, right?

The Collective at the Concourse in Sandy Springs will host another one of its Movies-on-the-Green events on Oct. 30, and playing on the big screen will be the 1993 Halloween film starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy.

Watching the movie on the spacious lawn at the Concourse is free. Outdoor games for kids will also be available, and trucks will be selling food and beverages. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to sit on, event organizers said.

For folks who haven’t seen the Disney witch flick, it’s about a teenage boy who moves to Salem, Massachusetts and awakens three witches who were executed in the 1700’s. It sounds creepy, but the movie is PG rated and full of laughs.

The green at the Concourse is located at 4 Concourse Parkway. The movie begins at 6:30 p.m.
