Gwinnett Commissioners approved $150,000 for a one-year contract to provide non-emergency medical transportation for seniors. The highest scoring firms who will provide the service are GoldStar Transport LLC and Premier NonEmergency Medical Transport dba A Companion Transport.

This is a new service for the transportation of eligible clients to and from doctor appointments for non-emergency services. Some are individually scheduled doctor’s visits. Some are ongoing regularly scheduled appointments.

Clients include seniors ages 60 and older who are pre-approved by Gwinnett County Senior Services staff. This contract also provides door-through-door assistance for frail elderly clients identified as needing additional help.
