The McDonough City Council voted at its March 18 regular meeting to approve an ordinance amendment regarding garage sales in the city.

The amended ordinance includes a change in the definition of “community sales;” a permit/license fee increase from $15 to $25; limiting to two consecutive days within a calendar month and three times in a calendar year; limiting sales to residential zoned properties; guidelines for parking and traffic management as well as hours of operation; regulations pertaining to merchandise on premises and not allowed in a right-of-way; and signage.
