The Shrine of the Black Madonna will host a program on the Freedom Riders that includes viewing of the documentary, "Freedom Riders".

Ray Arsenault, author of  "Freedom Riders: 1961 and the Struggle for Racial Justice," will moderate the  program and a question and answer session  at 7 p.m. June 15 at the Shrine of the Black Madonna, 946 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. S.W.

Several Freedom Riders  are scheduled to attend, including Charles Person, Hank Thomas and William Harbour.

Arsenault, the John Hope Franklin professor of Southern History at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, is leading a group of 30 teachers on an eight-day civil rights tour of the South.
